Green Tomato Pickles

3 CUP Green Tomato - Sliced
3 CUP Onions - Sliced
1 TBL Pickling Spice in cheesecloth
2 CUP White Sugar

Layer tomato, then onion, sprinkle TBL of pickling salt over each layer.

Let set overnight.  Drain and rinse. Cover with vinegar.

Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat until tender, about one hour.
